The heart of this child-centered approach lies in the child’s right to choose from among various options, what activity he/she would like to do, with the stipulation that the child must complete the activity chosen before moving on to pick another activity.
Since August 2017, targeted violence and serious human rights abuses forced 700,000 Rohingya to flee Myanmar into Bangladesh, joining the 230,00 refugees already there. The majority are under 18.

AMURT & AMURTEL distributed basic supplies to people affected by Hurricane Maria near Anasco town on the western coast of Puerto Rico. We worked in collaboration with the University of Puerto Rico (Mayaguez) and a local organization, Brigada Solidaria del Oeste.
